Sports Bash gets GFORCE support!

Added 06 Jun 2019 by GFORCE

Cricketers who took part in a special charity sports event in Stamford organised by a former England player were looking the part thanks to a leading sports kit provider.

Leicester-based GFORCE Sportswear provided the kit for the players taking part in Sports Bash, a ‘festival of cricket’ run by former professional and England star, Dean Headley. The event is held in aid of the Matt Hampson Foundation which supports people who have suffered a major trauma through sport.

Sports Bash 2019, which is now in its seventh year and takes place at the Ketton Sports and Community Centre in Stamford, saw the launch of the Eastern Premier Cup where four area teams went head to head to find out who’s the best. The teams included 24 local players and eight professionals.

In addition, the BGL Kwik Cricket Cup and Plate was a chance for 16 Under 9 local club teams to take part. There was also a Batfast cricket simulator, bungee run, inflatable assault course, human demolition, climbing wall, archery, caving experience and face painting for the crowds to enjoy.

Simon Ward, group sales director for GFORCE Sportswear, said: “We have created the kit for Sports Bash since 2014 so were delighted to be involved once again.

“It’s such as fantastic event not just for local cricket fans but for the general public to enjoy as well. Dean Headley does a great job supporting the Matt Hampson Foundation which does great work. We’re really proud to support it.”
